Jared Leto Wants The Echelon To Bring Signs To The Upcoming Tour Shows

I mean. That totally unnecessary hairplay at around 30 seconds in was the best part of my day.

OBSCENE.

Also? No one want signs at shows except you, Jared Leto. No one wants to be stuck behind the sign-holder – blocking all the money shots of you jumping around in leggings. Get real.

Can’t believe this…

Jared-Leto.net is gone too.

?times are CHAAANGINGGG?

LAST ONE OUT, PLEASE TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

It’s been on the massive decline for at least half a year now – probably more – and for a while I told myself that maybe it was all just the medium? Maybe it was just Tumblr and a lack of fandom congruity *here*. But then I noticed it on Twitter too. And Instagram. And other online forums dedicated to Jared and Mars. There’s just an overall lack of interest.

But the weird thing is is that they’ve had a pretty good year? Success-wise? Like for having a very little social following they managed to be invited to tons of music award shows and to perform in concert alongside pop stars with social media followings in the tens of millions (some 100+ million) (thanks, Interscope). They managed to be nominated for some awards (thanks again, Interscope). They had a tour that took them around the US and they did some independent dates overseas… they had a very prominent, some would argue annoying, deal with ESPN to play their new single every 5 mins… their first single in 4.5 yrs is still miraculously on iTunes top 200 chart (in the mid 100’s but still). They seem to be growing in interest? There seems to be newbies discovering them now? I think? …and yet??

I dunno. But none of this feels *good*. Yanno?

@la-leto I think what we are seeing is the difference between being loved by the industry versus the people. Jared seems to have craved commercial success (and I don’t blame him) with this new material and he’s getting it. The sacrifice however is authenticity and it is authenticity that inspired and motivated the fans that seem to be leaving now.

Cause and effect on full display. It’s sad and I hope the full album changes all of our minds and brings us all back together. Xoxo

^This.

I hope so too – but I also feel a bit out of faith on this one… based on what we’ve gotten so far and the behind-the-scenes pics we’ve seen, it just all feels a tad forced and too commercial for me, and as an American the last thing I wanna have to immerse myself in is the “American Experience “ — but, Imma hold on. Wait & see.

And yet Mars has still not released a new album since 2013. Interesting.
